People describe my work as modern, dreamy, geometric, complex and often beautiful. I call it “refection photography” in that every photograph is trained on the reflection in a building’s window. These reflective compositions blends together geometry, color, interiors and exteriors, heat, light and natural elements to surprising results that defy traditional category. Miami is a modern city that blends a tropical setting, spotless glass towers with Caribbean colors. It pulsates with people, sun, sand, water and wealth with an expanding downtown skyline and historic deco attractions. As a photographic subject for reflections in windows it is amazing, colorful and very decorative. These photos reveal a new way to see Miami that challenges the viewer to ponder the unique perspective as a pedestrian walking the streets as I did, stopping to allow the reflection of the city emerge in the moment.
